Strategy elicitation

Drawing out the exact ordered sequence of internal images, sounds, words, and feelings a person runs to produce a result.

A strategy is a mental recipe. Decision, motivation, learning, and convincer strategies each run as a sequence of representational steps - for example a picture, then self-talk, then a feeling. Strategy elicitation uses precise questions and calibration to capture that sequence, written in notation such as Vi-Ad-Ki. Once elicited, a strategy that works in one area can be re-used where the client struggles, or a stuck strategy can be redesigned. The TOTE model (test, operate, test, exit) describes the feedback loop that drives every strategy.
