Trance

A natural state of inward-focused attention used in NLP and hypnotic work to access the unconscious.

Trance in NLP is closer to everyday absorbed states (reading, daydreaming, driving on autopilot) than to stage hypnosis. The Milton model is the primary tool for inducing useful trance states. NLP does not require deep trance; it usually works in the light absorbed states that any conversation can produce.
