State

The total internal condition (physical, emotional, mental) a person is in at a given moment.

State is the master variable in NLP: every other intervention either elicits a state, anchors a state, or transfers a state. State has physical components (posture, breathing, muscle tone) and internal components (imagery, self-talk, feeling). Change the components, change the state.
