Mind reading

A meta-model distortion: claiming to know another person's internal state without sensory evidence.

Mind-reading violations are statements like 'she's disappointed in me', 'he thinks I'm boring', 'they don't respect me'. The meta-model challenges: 'how do you know?'. Often the answer reveals a projection or generalization that the client has accepted as fact.
